Who is the leader of GOT7 while Jay B is doing his military service? BamBam is replying to Kpopnews

GOT7It is bam bam recently revealed who the current leader of the group is Jay B fulfills his military service.

Jay B, the leader of GOT7, has quietly come forward and shocked everyone. Most discovered that Jay B had already contacted the Korean press Herald Corp announced on Feb. 10 (KST) that Jay B made a generous donation of KRW 60.0 million (approx. US$47,300) to Green Umbrella Child Fund Korea. They write, “Jay B is currently completing his military service as a civil servant.”

Earlier, Jay B hinted at the release of his album that he would be committing this year season break. The album includes a calendar dated February 2023 to November 2024, the approximate length of Jay B’s absence to complete his 21 months of service.

Since the GOT7 leader will still be busy fulfilling his duty for some time, some wondered if another member would take over the job in the meantime. Some K-pop groups choose to have interim leaders if they serve in the military while still active. For example during MONSTA XIt is shownu working as a civil servant minhyuk acted as leader. Shownu will retire on April 21st and Minhyuk will join on April 4th.

During a recent live stream on Weverse, an Ahgase asked BamBam if he was the boss until Jay B returned from the military. That made BamBam laugh.

BamBam reacted immediately and ended all speculation. Jay B was and always will be the leader of GOT7, even during his draft.

Even (if) Jay B hyung now in the army, the chief will be chief forever. No one will take that place, and I don’t want to take that place.

While BamBam is known for teasing Jay B a lot (they are “Tom and Jerry” after all), he proves he genuinely respects and admires his leader.
