Where is Everglow? fans are worried
Everglow is a band that has managed to build a strong following with their unique concept and catchy sounds.
However, fans of the band are worried about the band’s future.
Their latest release, Pirate, was released on December 1st, 2021. That means it’s been around 16-17 months since her last comeback.
Prior to their current hiatus, they’ve had two regular comebacks every year since their debut in early 2019 — “Bon Bon Chocolat” and “Adios” in 2019, “DUN DUN” and “LA DI DA” in 2020, and “First.” and “Pirate” in 2021.
In early 2022, Yiren returned to her native country of China after only being away for a month to visit her parents.
A month turned into several, however, and apart from a few live performances, EVERGLOW was relatively quiet as a group throughout the year.
Fans even feared that Yiren might leave the group altogether due to their long hiatus, but she finally returned in November 2022, just in time for EVERGLOW to release a collaboration with TheFatRat.
Many were hoping Yiren’s return would mark a comeback in the near future, but a planned four-stop tour of Southeast Asia in December was even canceled for unknown reasons and there were no real hints of new music.
Also, the group’s agency, Yuehua Entertainment, is notorious for not taking good care of the girls. Although the group has been active for four years, there has never been a merch release, holiday greeting, lightstick, consistent content release, or proper promotions.
Fans have consistently expressed their concerns about the group’s mismanagement across multiple platforms. However, Yuehua Entertainment has not yet responded.
Everglow’s extended absence and fan concerns about Yuehua’s management style could have a significant impact on the group’s future.
We hope to see you again!
