Top Korean Actresses Return to the Small Screen (Kim Tae Hee, Jeon Ji Hyun, Song Hye Kyo and More) – Kpopnews
Representative actresses, including legendary trio “TaeHyeJi” and Lee Na Young, will return with new drama projects.
First of all, Song hye kyodont, the latest drama – Netflix’s The Glory, which recently ranked #5 in the history of the “Non-English Language TV Category” is filming its next drama The Price of Confession.
“The Price of Confession” shows the bloody chronicle of two women around a murder case. Song Hye Kyo plays Ahn Yoon Soo, an art teacher whose life changes when she is accidentally implicated in the murder, while Han So Hee stars as Mo Eun, a mysterious woman.
Kim Tae Hee will return to the small screen through ENA drama Lies Hidden in My Garden, three years after 2020’s tvN drama Hi Bye, Mama!
“Lies Hidden in My Garden” tells the story of two women (Kim Tae Hee and Lim Ji Yeon) – one living a perfect life others envy, but wary of change while the other struggles to escape from her unhappy life.
Kim Tae Hee plays Kim Joo Ran, who lives a perfect life, but begins to suspect her husband when she smells dead bodies in their new home. Lim Ji Yeon plays Lee Sang Eun, who dreams of escaping her abusive husband and meets Ju-ran.
Actor Kim Sung Oh stars in this drama as Joo Ran’s husband, Park Jae Ho, who has a conflict with his wife over her suspicions. Also, actor Choi Jae Rim Sang plays Eun’s husband Kim Yoon Bum, a wealthy pharmaceutical company employee who commits domestic violence.
Actress Lee Na Young is also making a comeback with Wavve’s original drama Park Ha Kyung’s Travel Journal, four years after the 2019 tvN series Romance is a Bonus Book.
Park Ha Kyung’s Travel Journal is an 8-part drama about Korean teacher Park Ha Kyung who meets different characters and gains experiences every Saturday while traveling to different destinations in a single day.
Recently, Jeon Ji Hyun is currently reviewing the casting offer for “Polaris” along with Kang Dong Won. If Jeon Ji Hyun agrees to star in this drama, he will be welcoming drama fans in 2021, two years after Netflix’s Kingdom: Ashin of the North and tvN’s drama Jirisan.
“Polaris” tells the story of spies who have lost their identities and find themselves again. This project marks the reunion of writer Jeong Seo Kyung and PD Kim Hee Won, who previously collaborated on Little Women.
