The UniLaSalle Ovalies 2023 will take place on May 5th and 6th at the Marcel Communeau Stadium in Beauvais
New edition for the Ovalies UniLaSalle which will therefore take place in Beauvais on May 5th and 6th. Two intense days to “Biggest university rugby tournament with solidarity goal in Europe“.
It is an unmissable event that takes place in Beauvais every year on the first weekend of May and aims to raise funds for associations. Since it started in 1995, around 40 clubs have been supported and more than 500,000 euros have been collected.
For this 2023 edition, the “largest university rugby tournament with a solidarity goal in Europe‘ will reside at the Marcel Communeau Stadium in Beauvais on May 5th and 6th.
Many activities are offered to visitors and prepared by 83 volunteers (all 4th year engineering school) throughout the year. Of course we will also be able to see rugby again: Rugby sevens for men and women, men’s rugby union. But the 2023 edition will mark a major first, namely the organization of a Wheelchair Rugby Sevens Tournament.
As well as rugby, you can also take part in the pompom and supporters tournament, but also enjoy the Village which offers camping activities throughout the day. Entry before 8pm is free, essential information to get the most of the day. And don’t forget that in the evening the atmosphere will always be there, with the presence of DJs to spend the craziest evenings.
Finally, note that Les Ovalies can count on the support of a strong sponsor for its 28th edition: Thierry Dusautoir, emblematic player of the French XV will be there during the 2 extraordinary days. And the final can count on the presence of Christophe Berdos, referee of international rugby union, a strong personality who always reaffirms the support of the rugby world for this great university event.


Which clubs are supported this year?
Three associations are supported this year by the 28th edition of the Ovalies UniLaSalle:
- CAP SAAA (“Sports Arts Adventure Friendship”): “an association for education through sport that implements prevention and awareness-raising activities on disability, coexistence and the fight against all forms of discrimination“
- Oscar’s Angels: The club is back this year after the 2020 edition (sponsored by Thierry Dussautoir): “provide emotional and financial support to families of hospitalized children and adolescents”.
- MANAO: Association with the aim of helping disadvantaged residents of Madagascar in particular Access to schooling, provision of food and hygiene items, assumption of hospital costs…
