The idols who took part in “Show Me The Money”.
In the survival TV series Show Me the Money, South Korea’s most talented rappers of all genres — mainstream and underground, newcomers and veterans — perform before established celebrity rappers and producers, who decide which contestants advance to the next round of the competition every week.
Rappers join “crews”, each led by a jury team, and after passing the preliminary rounds, which consist of individual battles and collaboration tracks, they have the opportunity to present their music at live concerts and Publish tracks of songs by popular artists.
The show, which has grown in popularity since it first aired in 2012, has spread a huge wave of Korean hip-hop across the country and overseas.
The show has now been running for 11 years and in 2023 it will be its 12th yearth to air season!
There were certainly plenty of legendary moments, but on Show Me The Money it’s always fun to see your favorite idol take part in the show.
Many idols have participated in the program over the years. Some have come a long way, others have failed early in the competition, but all have left their mark on fans.
Let’s take a look at the idols that took part in Show Me The Money!
- EXID’s LE – Season 2
LE appeared in Season 2 and wowed fans!
- iKON’s Bobby – Season 3
Bobby made a strong impression in Season 3 by winning the competition! Fans know he’s one of the most talented rap idols out there and it proves it!
- Mino the WINNER – Season 4
Mino has also had an incredible competition since becoming a finalist on the show! Additionally, his talent was recognized when he became a judge in Season 10.
- Vernon from SEVENTEEN – Season 4
Vernon made his debut appearance in Season 4 of SMTM and it helped him achieve fame! Her beauty coupled with her aggressive peddling was definitely unexpected.
- Ravi from VIXX – Season 4
Many idols appeared in season 4. Ravi took the opportunity to show a part of himself that he never got to show with VIXX and fans loved it!
- Jooheon de MONSTA X – Season 4
Jooheon also wanted his “idol rapper” stereotype to go away, and he did a great job showing the judges his rap skills!
- Changbin de Stray Kids – Season 9
Changbin is known for his aggressive rapping and powerful vocals. His participation in the show allowed him to showcase his skills in the world of K Hip Hop. The fans were particularly proud of him!

It can be very difficult for idols to take part in this type of show surrounded by people from the world of K Hip Hop because the stereotypes about idols are persistent and it can threaten their credibility.
Despite the risk, these idols rose to the daunting challenge and really wanted to tell the world they were capable of more.
