While the agencies seemingly ignored the rumors until then, they eventually responded.
On May 18, HYBE and YG responded to a reporter who contacted them regarding the situation.
According to the report, both authorities replied vaguely, although it was not an official response. The Sports Seoul media report revealed:
« On the 18th, HYBE and YG Entertainment said, “We don’t know because it affects the privacy of the artists” and did not issue an official statement. »
