Taeyang praises BLACKPINK’s Lisa and reveals he attended her first YG audition
On April 25, Taeyang released his long-awaited new solo album, Down to Earth.
One of the tracks on the album caught fans’ attention because it was a collaboration with BLACKPINK’s Lisa. The song “Shoong!” shows the unswerving charisma of the two idols.
To mark his album release, Taeyang sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. He then talked about his collaboration with Lisa.
“Lisa thankfully said OK right away and that she definitely wanted to be part of the project. »
Taeyang then revealed that he actually attended the young idol auditions for YG Entertainment years ago.
“One thing that stands out is that when Lisa first came to YG, I literally when she first came to Korea, worked on the music there, and ended up watching his hearing. »
Lisa had already impressed Taeyang at her first audition at the agency.

At the time, Lisa was only 14 years old, but she was already showing exceptional talent and worked very hard to get herself the means to get there.
