Sunmi – BE’O Collab: The singer and the rapper release a new single
On March 15th, Billion Music confirmed that Sunmi and BE’O are collaborating on a new track to be released this month!
The single, titled “Lights Out,” is a retro funk track co-produced by EL CAPITXN and VENDORS, who have both worked on songs for some of K-pop’s biggest stars.

According to the management, the rap lyrics integrated into “Lights Out” would increase the quality of the song. The song embodies the sensibility of the 1980s and 1990s, which translates into a retro funk sound.
Representative Kim Jae-ho, CEO of Billion Music and member of the VENDORS production team said:
“The song was created with the intention of comforting you. It tells the story of an empty heart after the colored lights on the stage have gone out.”
Lights Out is scheduled for release on March 22 at 6:00 p.m. KST.
Sunmi 2023: Future Idol Activities, Solo Artist Success
Sunmi was a member of Wonder Girls before pursuing a solo career in 2014. She released her first single “Full Moon”.
Since then, Sunmi has grown into one of South Korea’s most popular solo artists. Her hit singles include “Gashina,” “Heroine,” and “Lalalay,” which received awards.
In addition to her solo career, she has also teamed up with well-known artists such as SHINee Taemin, Jooyoung and Wonho.
Sunmi has achieved significant achievements and recognition for her work on her career. In addition to Best Female Solo Dance Performance at the 2018 Melon Music Awards and Best Solo Dance Performance at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards, her song “Gashina” also won several other awards.

BE’O 2023: Rapper’s future activities, controversy
In February, the former BE’O manager claimed the rapper experienced a dramatic change in attitude after rising to prominence on hit variety show Show Me The Money.
According to the manager, BE’O forced him to deal with stress, panic attacks and suicidal thoughts. He also revealed that he chose to “Hitmaker Complex” early in his career after the rapper emailed him asking for a collaboration. In addition, the hip-hop rapper published statements on the former manager’s allegations on his page.
“The Brand,” sung by BE’O, was allegedly stolen, and the real songwriter received an undisclosed sum of money to remain silent.
The rapper’s management company, Big Planet Made, responded to the allegations by announcing it would take legal action against malicious remarks about its artists, including defamation, harassment, personal attacks and misinformation.
Meanwhile, the rapper released his digital single “Akita” that same month, whose lyrics exude warmth and show how the seasons change while staying the same.
