Seoul launches ‘Seoul Festa’ Festival, 8 days to ‘feel the real Seoul’

The Seoul government has finally launched its tourist event: “Seoul Festa 2023”.

The eight-day Seoul Festa 2023 opened on Sunday, April 30 with entertaining programs for local and international tourists to “feel the real Seoul.”

The festival opened with a concert at the Olympic Main Stadium in the Jamsil Sports Complex in south Seoul, attended by Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon and around 40,000 visitors.

The concert included iKON, ENHYPEN and IVE!

The festival welcomes visitors until May 7th with many activities planned for tourists.

Gwanghwamun Square will be transformed into the festival’s main venue with the style and taste of Seoul.

From the Welcome Gate at Gwanghwamun Crossing, the entire square, which has been renamed Seoul Culture Square, will feature a series of stalls and areas where visitors can enjoy the irresistible charm of Seoul.

K-Drama and K-Fashion zones have been set up on the plaza where visitors can hear dramatic soundtracks, see clothing worn by K-Pop artists and design their own canvas bags.

In the K-Beauty section, they can learn more about the makeup looks that are trending in Korea.

The city is hosting the Seoul Shopping Festa through May 7, offering up to 50% off purchases at some 3,000 stores across the metropolis.

For a charming and romantic experience in Seoul, visit Ttukseom Hangang Park. After the Seoul Festa has set, prepare to be amazed by spectacular drone light shows that outperform traditional fireworks.

Seoul Bridge Market will be full of things to enjoy, from dining at Combinis to outdoor mukbangs along the Hangang River and various cultural events.

Korea’s leading convenience store brand CU and food companies such as Nongshim, Daesang and Ottogi offer more diverse K foods to tourists and citizens visiting the market.

Finally, there are hallyu-themed activities as well.

Beginning Monday, visitors can receive dance training from a YGX choreographer, immerse themselves in Korean culinary culture by learning how to make cocktails, visit SM Entertainment’s headquarters, and take a cooking class led by professional chefs.
