Scene from The Glory Part 2 Goes Viral After Unexpected K-Pop Performance
One of the hottest, if not THE hottest, K-drama has to be in recent memory Fame. Since it aired, it has garnered worldwide attention.
The series with the leading role Chanson hye kyo shocked netizens at what many are saying is the reality of school bullying in Korea and its impact on victims. The characters take viewers on a journey as Song Hye Kyo’s character Moon Dong Eun seeks revenge on her bullies.
Though the series is very dark, netizens couldn’t hide their surprise when one of the latest episodes featured the most unexpected cameo appearance of a K-pop song.
Kang Hyeon Nam and his daughter are particularly in focus in a scene from the second series. In the first series, Kang Hyeon Nam (played by Yeom Hye ran) agrees to help Dong Eun after asking for help in murdering her abusive husband. But soon a close bond and friendship develops.
During an episode of the second season, Kang Hyeon Nam is in the car with her daughter. Despite the hardships of their lives, the journey is like that of any mother and daughter.
The two drive and unsurprisingly the girl wants to know where they are going since Kang Hyeon Nam seems to be in trouble.
Despite what might happen, the daughter quickly changes her mood when she tells her mother to listen to music, adding: “I’m going to listen to Oppa’s song.”
Then, shockingly, netizens couldn’t contain their excitement as the sound of THE YOUNGThe song from “Thrill Ride” started blasting out of the speakers. Kang Hyeon Nam then emotionally watched as his daughter started singing the song.
Of course, “Thrill Ride” was one of the hottest songs of 2021, and it garnered attention because it exuded real “summer vibes.”
When the clip was shared, it immediately went viral, and the original tweet and video quickly gained views.
