earlier today, little entertainment updated fans on Joy’s condition via a statement shared on CLUB KWANGYA. The statement mentioned that the Red Velvet star would cease all activities to undergo treatment and rest after receiving advice from doctors. His absence from the upcoming Red Velvet shows as part of their tour in Asia has also been announced by each venue. While it’s disappointing that she can’t join her peers on stage, fans support her decision to prioritize her health and well-being.
Joy recently visited a hospital due to her poor condition and after being examined and consulted by doctors, was advised that treatment and rest were needed.
As such, Joy will not be participating in any programs at this time, instead taking a break to restore her health.

Red Velvet will begin their European tour on May 24th, kicking off in Paris. The tour then continues to Berlin on May 27th and Amsterdam on May 30th. Finally, Red Velvet will wrap up the European leg of R to V on June 6th in London.

The group will also perform at the popular Primavera Festival in Barcelona and Madrid on June 1st and 9th respectively.

R to V will be Red Velvet’s first tour of Europe, with a large loyal following of fans who have waited years to attend one of their concerts. It will also be their first major tour overall since the 2019 Redmare Tour, which stopped in Asia and the United States.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment announced that the decision to temporarily suspend Joy’s activities was made after careful discussions with her and promised to do their best to help Joy recover.
