Ravi De VIXX admits charges of attempted evasion of military service, court rejects arrest warrant
On January 12, it was announced that a major brokerage organization was under investigation for helping celebrities, athletes and children from wealthy families falsify their medical records in order to be exempted from military service.
It was allegedly admitted that a famous idol rapper, “A”, was exempted from military service because of her. According to the media, this rapper is actually Ravi from VIXX.
On March 2, the Seoul Southern District Court’s special investigation team requested an arrest warrant against Ravi for evading military service.
However, on March 6, the arrest warrant for Ravi was lifted. Chief Justice Kim Ji Sook of the Seoul South District Court investigated Ravi and reviewed the validity of his arrest warrant.
After questioning, the judge rejected the warrant, saying: “It is difficult to determine whether there is a risk of evidence leakage or destruction. »
Also, Ravi admitted the charges, making the warrant redundant. They explained:
“While these allegations are serious, it is normal to investigate suspects without arrest. Given the objective evidence collected so far [le suspect] admitted the prosecution. His residency and work history are stable and given various factors such as B. social ties, it is difficult to say that at this stage it is necessary to arrest the suspect. »
On the other hand, more than 100 people are said to have been investigated in addition to Ravi, including people from the field of professional sports and entertainment.
