Parents of OMEGA X members funded the band for the 2022 Hanteo Music Awards
After a press conference on November 16, in which the group OMEGA X exposed the abuse suffered On behalf of CEO Kang, the group also announced that a lawsuit to terminate OMEGA X’s contract with SPIRE Entertainment is ongoing.
The group won, meaning all 11 members of OMEGA X are now free to continue their activities in the entertainment industry without restrictions and without the control of Spire Entertainment.
On February 11, the 11-piece group officially returned to fans by attending the 2022 Hanteo Music Awards.
It was their first group program after the court ruled they were free to continue their entertainment activities.
Back then, OMEGA X was hailed for its undeniably superior performance, despite the difficulties of recent months. However, the team has reportedly faced challenges, including financial ones, as it currently operates without an agency.
According to a Feb. 24 JTBC report, the group is currently working on raising its own out-of-pocket funds due to restrictions on movement and the formation of a new agency due to unfinished litigation with Spire.
The manager who left the agency with Omega X organizes the group’s schedule, but it is not easy to continue their activities as they have no group accommodation or practice rooms available.
That’s why, when they decided to start their activities this month, the 11 members’ parents had to fund their hair, makeup and rental clothes just to look presentable at the music awards ceremony.
We hope that the group can find a new agency that will set them on the right path.
