NewJeans Wins Prestigious Korean Music Awards 2023 With 3 Wins Kpop News
The 2023 Korean Music Awards took place earlier today, and New jeans pulled off an incredible win as the only idol group to win this year’s event. They won not one, but three of the six awards the band was nominated for.
The six nominations also made the young idol group the most nominated artist of the evening! The categories were:
- “Rookie of the Year”
- “Musician of the Year”
- “Album of the Year”
- “Song of the Year”
- “Best K-Pop Song”
- “Best K-Pop Album”
NewJeans’ top prize of the evening was “Attention”, crowned as “Best K-Pop Song.He conquered the 100% female nominees: red velvet“Feel my rhythm” THE SERAFIM“ANTIFRAGILE”, I HAVE“Love Dive” and (G)I-DLE“tomboy”.
Shortly thereafter, NewJeans received their second of the night with “Best K-Pop Album. The group’s first mini-album seduced another all-female lineup: THE SERAFIMIt is ANTI-FRAGILE, (G)I-DLEIt is I like etc I WILL NEVER DIEetc TaeyeonIt is INVITE
As the show drew to a close, NewJeans took home their third and final award of the night. The group was awardedrookie of the year, winning half of their nominations and sweeping the K-pop categories.
The members could not attend the show. However, they made sure to send a thank you video to the KMAS. The girls happily expressed their gratitude to the show for winning the three-time award.

Fans pointed out another amazing detail of this year’s event, which featured 250 grand prize winners: “musician of the year” and “album of the year.” The artist is known and loved by NewJeans fans as the group’s main producer. So the fans also saw his victories as a reason to celebrate.
