NewJeans achieves first Guinness World Record

NewJeans has garnered uninterrupted attention since its debut, and the girls once again proved their high popularity with a Guinness World Record.
Kpop groups like BTS or BLACKPINK are used to such records and this is the first for ADOR’s young group.

On March 8th, NewJeans reached one billion streams on Spotify.
They’re not the first band to hit that number, but what makes the difference here is that NewJeans only hit that number 219 after their debut.

This will make the group the fastest KPOP artist to reach 1 billion streams on the platform.
Previously, BTS’ Jungkook held the record at 408 days.

According to Guinness, when the record was achieved, the group had a total of 6 songs available on the platform. This record is all the more impressive.
