Recently, SM Entertainment shocked fans with an announcement about NCT, which the agency says “closes the chapter.”
That was actually announced Sungchan and Shotaro left NCT to join another group of companies.
The news surprised fans and netizens in general.
Shortly after, Shotaro left a handwritten letter for fans via Instagram.
“Hello, this is Shotaro. I think you were really shocked after seeing today’s (SM) video. I really wanted to start by saying thank you to the fans who have supported me so far.
I think what has been my greatest strength throughout my promotions at NCT has been the very existence of the fans.
I was so happy because of the constant love and support in all my promotions on music shows, various content and performances!
And there were fans who told me they could work hard because I exist and thanked me. When I heard that, I believe that I too was able to draw more strength.
thank you
The time I spent with my fans is a beautiful memory. Thank you for always looking at my promotions with warm regards. And I would like to express my gratitude to the members who have treated me like family since I arrived until now.
I respect the members who have always shown me a cool and awesome side whether at work or when we are usually together.
It was a real fortune and honor for me to be promoted to such a valuable team as NCT. I believe that the valuable experiences I have gained through my promotions at NCT will give me the strength to become an artist everyone will be proud of! i will work hard
I’ll be back “soon”, cooler than ever, so wait for me! »
The letter touched the fans deeply and it seems they are not the only ones.
Since Yuta and Shotaro have had many promos together, including a show, he also addressed the news.
Yuta’s word caught the attention of fans. Some consider it a hidden message, like Yuta holding back on saying certain things.
« I have so much to say… But it would be fine if it is you 👍🏽«
Yuta’s reaction pained fans greatly, reminding them of the unique bond between the two Japanese members and their three-year time together.
Also, the news that Sungchan and Shotaro have left NCT despite all the promotions and hard work they have put in as group members for three years.
Fans expressed anger at SM Entertainment using them to generate hype for a group they were not a part of.
Fans were so angry at the news that many agreed they didn’t want NCT to start another unit, especially NCT Tokyo.
- “It’s crazy that Sungchan and Shotaro even did a TV show in Japan just to promote NCT in Japan so they’re not in NCT Tokyo??
- “I’m sorry and I’m devastated.” What was the point of getting them promoted to NCT members in Japan? not build land in tokyo? the unit he will not even be in ???? »
- “Actually, I don’t want NCT Tokyo anymore, shit, don’t develop NCT anymore, just quit.” IF IT’S NOT SUNGTARO AND THE RECRUITS, I DON’T WANT IT.”
- “Can you just cancel NCT Tokyo now? The only reason people were looking forward to it was Sungtaro and the newbies, so just cancel the plan at this point.”
- “Please stop NCT Tokyo, we don’t want it, we don’t need it. The only reason people were looking forward to it was for Sungtaro and Shohei, so… just leave that shit in the drafts or it’s going to be an astronomical flop.”
