Canal+’s new large historical fresco, Marie-Antoinette, was inaugurated at the end of October. The chain has just made its decision on the possible sequel.
Now it is official: Marie Antoinette there will be a season 2. channel+ just announced that filming will start soon. This eventful season will focus on the difficult affair surrounding the necklace, which cost the Queen of France so dearly.
While Marie-Antoinette and Louis appear to be at the peak of power, they face an unprecedented financial crisis. The incessant attacks on the royal couple from Provence and Chartres fuel the hatred of the nobles, while the Collier affair threatens devastating consequences. The series was created by Deborah Davis. Season 2 writing is being supervised by Louise Ironside, accompanied by Charlotte Wolf, Francesca Forristal, and Andrew Bampfield.
