KBS makes the decision to limit Yoo Ah’s appearances on its network
Yoo Ah In continues to deal with the aftermath of her drug scandal.
In fact, the KBS broadcasting network has decided to limit the appearances of the controversial actor on its network.
As a reminder, Yoo Ah In was suspected of using drugs in early February 2023 after returning from a trip to the United States.
After investigation and analysis, not one but four different drugs were found in his system (ketamine, marijuana, propofol and cocaine), shocking the Koreans.
South Korea is very strict when it comes to drugs and the actor’s public image has suffered a lot.
Due to the scandal, planned projects like The Match and the Netflix original series Goodbye Earth have been hit. Also, upcoming filming of Season 2 of Hellbound was put on hold before a new casting session without the actor was announced.
Therefore, according to the latest news, KBS has decided to limit Yoo Ah In’s appearances on its network.
The actor made his official debut in KBS’ kdrama Sharp. The actor played the role of a high school student who is introduced as the love interest of the protagonist (Go Ara). Though his role was small, the actor was able to live up to his screen time and present himself to audiences as an aspiring actor.
His popularity skyrocketed after the release of Sharp. The actor then went on to appear in a number of popular KBS dramas including April Kiss, Drama City, Strongest Chil Woo, He Who Can’t Get Married and Sungkyunkwan Scandal.
On the other hand, KBS also announced a temporary ban on actors such as Kim Sae Ron for his drunk driving incident, Kwak Do Won for verbally assaulting an actress, and Don Spike for drug-related offenses.
