Juyeon and Eric Reveal How a Misunderstanding in Japan Almost Ended With the Police – K-GEN
Juyeon and Eric recently shared an anecdote about their trip to Japan.
The two members of THE BOYZ recently traveled to Japan with several friends. Currently, the group is in Tokyo as part of their fan reunion, so the guys returned to an event they witnessed on their previous trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.
After Juyeon shared the anecdote during the fan meetup, he retold it during a Weverse Live in his hotel room on the evening of January 21st.
The young man has actually explained that he and his friends ran out of battery on their phones and forgot their chargers when they left for Japan. They then went to a store and Juyeon bought a portable battery there while Eric bought a charger.
To test whether the two objects worked and whether they weren’t defective, they then plugged them in to check. A salesman then appeared to say something to Eric, but THE BOYZ member doesn’t understand Japanese. Then he started shouting “Juyeon-hyung!” Juyeon-hyung! for Juyeon to come and help her.
However, Juyeon could only understand the word “thief,” so they asked the seller to repeat it using the Papago app to translate his words. According to the translation, he accused them of being “electricity thieves”.
The seller then said he would call the police but eventually everything went back to normal as the guys apologized and explained why they had tried to connect the devices.
