Recently, iKON announced its world tour, which will notably stop in Paris, but also a solo return by Bobby at the end of March.

The announcement of this solo comeback was well received by fans as it has been around 2 years since Bobby had his last solo.

However, fans gradually became increasingly disappointed with 143 Entertainment’s lack of publicity for the rapper’s comeback.

Bobby will return with a two-track mini-album, SiR, to be released on March 21st.

The title track “Drowning” is a synth-pop song that expresses emotions immersed in opposite-sex charm. Singer-songwriter and RnB artist SOLE is lending his voice to the highly anticipated collaboration.

On the other hand, the album’s B-side contains “Cherry Blossom” which tells the story of a brief and beautiful love that is compared to the magnificent cherry blossom that is known to be fleeting.

The song is expected to be soulful, with the requisite emotion well captured in Bobby’s uniquely raspy voice.

Bobby has proven his solo talent before. The anticipation of his solo comeback is correspondingly great.

Unfortunately, many fans are concerned about the lack of promotion ahead of release. At the time of writing, only the “Coming Soon” poster and pre-order notice were the only promotions for the album, which isn’t technically enough to qualify as a promotion compared to most K-pop bands.

As a result, fans took the lead and began promoting Bobby’s solo comeback on their own.

They set out to create and release promotional photos such as countdown teasers, posters, track listings, concept photos, and promotional videos.

The fans are committed and gave everything for Bobby. Some colorfully expressed their disappointment with 143 Entertainment…

Unfortunately, the scope of fan promotion will always be limited compared to official promotions and marketing by the company itself. Fans feel bad and disappointed and expect better from the group’s new agency.
