The newest girl group to grace the K-pop scene just sold 35,961 units in 24 hours after releasing their debut mini-album earlier this week — and they’re called SPOTLIGHT. The group consists of three members: MiU, suhyeetc Do it.
Given that LIMELIGHT’s debut wasn’t one of the most talked about of the year, the strong sales figures came as a surprise to many. However, fans have come up with several theories as to why the girl group was able to achieve such success.
1. Her pre-debut exit
