Girl group and boy group debuts + NCT’s final unit Soompi

SM Entertainment renews itself this year!

On May 24th, SM Entertainment released a new video to showcase their plans for the coming months regarding the agency’s new groups.

In the video, CEO Jang Cheol Hyuk then tells us about the upcoming innovations.

While We learned this morning that Shotaro and Sungchan have left NCT to join the agency’s new boy band. This video also makes things clearer on the subject.

NCT:

NCT will begin its final chapter with the creation of its newest entity. This last session will feature many more Japanese members.

Two new members of SMROOKIES, to be announced soon, will join this unit and the other members will be chosen after a pre-debut survival.

Shohei, who previously performed as SMROOKIES, will not be joining NCT due to health reasons, instead focusing on individual activities within the agency.

New boy band:

Sungchan and Shotaro will make their debut in a new agency boy band along with SMROOKIES’ Eunseok and Seunghan and other Korean and American trainees.

New girl group:

A new girl group will also debut in the third quarter of 2023.
