French Post Office Launches Rabbit-Themed Chinese New Year Stamp, See How To Design
The stamps, designed by Chinese artist Chen Jianghong, are labeled “Year of the Rabbit” in both Chinese and French.
Depicting a pink squatting bunny, one stamp works for a local courier service in France with a face value of 1.16 euros ($1.26).
Another design, a rabbit looking at the moon in the background, covers international postal services with the amount of 1.8 euros.
Since 2005, the French Post Office has celebrated the Chinese New Year every year by issuing stamps depicting the zodiac animal of the year.
The twelve animals, which represent the Chinese Zodiac to record the year and show human behavior, are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog and pig.
