Fortune of France: Christopher Thompson signs the new series of France 2

While his Bardot series is presented at Series Mania, Christopher Thompson will direct Fortune de France, the new series for France 2.

What is Fortune of France? Perigord Noir, 1557. The religious wars threaten France. Behind the ramparts of the Château de Mespech, surrounded by a dangerous world,
hostile and intolerant, the Siorac family fights for their survival and beliefs. Jean, the father, is forced to reconnect with violence to defend his ideal. Isabelle, the mother, struggles to survive in a world where men make the law. Pierre and François, the sons, suddenly enter adulthood, torn like their country between their father’s Protestant faith and their mother’s Catholic passion. There is community life, masters and servants, parents and children, plagues, adversaries, battles and sorrows, science and superstitions and love stories.

Created and written by Christopher Thomspon (Bardot) and adapted from the work of Robert Merle (13 volumes) published between 1977 and 2003, wealth of France will collect Nicolas DUVAUCHELLE (Jean de Siorac) Lucie DEBAY (Isabelle de Caumont), Guillaume GOUIX (Jean de Sauveterre) Gregory Fitoussi (Bertrand de Fontenac) Blandine BELLAVOIR (Cathou), Antoine GOUY (gamelin), Simon Zampieri (Pierre de Siorac), Lou LAMPROS (spiral), Angelina WORETH (Diane de Fontenac), Marcel THOMSON (Francois de Siorac), Ophelia BAU (Frank), Louis Durant (Samson), David AYALA (Cabusse), Isabelle DE HERTOGH (Maligou), Emily INCERTI (Hair stylist).
