Fans send protest trucks to HYBE demanding reaction against community bashing BTS and other idols
HYBE fans sent LED trucks past the HYBE headquarters in Yongsan in central Seoul.
Shipping of these trucks began on May 2nd and continued daily until May 11th.
Fans are reaching out to HYBE for a response following a post on a private fan community, DC Inside.
Some netizens defame members of BTS and many other K-pop idols through organized activities including manipulating community activities, reporting fake news to the media, inciting fan wars, etc
On April 27th, a netizen revealed this community and stated that he had been a member for some time. According to the netizen, the community regularly slanders BTS members and it seemed to be getting worse with each passing day.
In addition, the netizen revealed that there are about 36 members in this community and that they have been involved in manipulating online activities to target many other K-pop idols, not just members of K-pop. bts
Seeing this, the ARMYs became concerned and demanded a response from HYBE. The company said nothing and sent protest cars out in front of its building.
Therefore, they hope to make HYBE react. They are calling for vigorous legal action against members of this now-defunct DC Inside community.
The protest signs read: “Punish malicious gallery users who have been creating and spreading rumours, reporting false and unverified information to the media and targeting BTS members for years!” »
“Don’t look in silence anymore! A company must protect its artists from criminals! “.
But that’s not all: One post parodied HYBE’s “We Believe in Music” slogan by dropping the word “music” and replacing it with “money”.
Fans accuse HYBE of being money crazy and “not doing the job of a management company”. This is related to the implementation of the dynamic pricing system implemented by the company.
As a reminder, this pricing system fluctuates and increases the ticket price as desired. Several factors that influence ticket prices are, in particular, the number of tickets available, the time remaining until the event and the overall demand after the event.
It seems that the company has faced criticism from critics lately.
HYBE recently teased its AI project “Midnatt”, which also received a lot of criticism. Fans are hoping business will recover.
