Police have arrested a new suspect and uncovered more leads in influencer Abby Choi’s murder.

On March 2, Hong Kong media reported that police arrested the sixth suspect suspected of being linked to Abby Choi’s murder. The man, surnamed Lin, worked for a yacht charter company and is best friends with Abby Choi’s ex-husband Alex Kwong. Lin allegedly tried to help Abby Choi’s ex-husband escape to the mainland and was paid hundreds of thousands of Hong Kong dollars in return.

So far, 6 suspects have been arrested in the Abby Choi murder case, including Lin, Kwong Kau (65, retired police officer, Abby’s ex-father-in-law), Anthony Kwong (31, Abby’s driver and ex-straight brother) , Alex Kwong (28, unemployed, Abby ex-husband), Jenny Li (63, retired, Abby’s ex-mother-in-law) and Wu (47, lover believed to be Kwong Kau).

On the afternoon of February 27, 4 of the suspects were arrested in court. However, the court adjourned the hearing to May for lack of evidence.
