ENHYPEN’s Sunhoon reveals his poor English caused an awkward moment at the airport
More and more kpop idols speak English, but there are still some who aren’t entirely fluent in another language.
Such is the case of ENHYPEN’s Sunhoon, who had a little awkward moment at the airport.
The group returned to the incident in The K Star Next Door.
While the group was traveling to the United States for a concert, an airport employee asked Sunhoon for VISA information, but he didn’t understand what was being asked of him.
“I think he asked me why I was visiting the United States. He spoke English. I don’t know what to say. » – Sunhoon
He doesn’t know many phrases in English, so he decided to say what he knew:
“So I said, ‘Do you know ENHYPEN? “I asked that question. » – Sunhoon
He was lucky because the employee in question actually spoke Korean.
Making everyone laugh again, Sunghoon continued: “I guess he was frustrated or something. He ended up speaking Korean, ‘So where are you going?’ »
Although it appeared that Sunghoon wanted to promote ENHYPEN’s popularity abroad, he only used what little English he knew to communicate with the employee.
