Daylight Saving Time: Are we going forward or backward by an hour?

This weekend and for 6 months we are switching from Saturday to Sunday to Daylight Saving Time overnight. So set your clocks and other devices.

It’s the same circus twice a year and you never really know where to go. So specifically: In the night from Saturday, March 25th to Sunday, March 26th, we switch to daylight saving time, i.e. put forward one hour (which means that we sleep one hour less). At 2am it’s 3am!! It may still be dark at first in the morning when you wake up, but good news, it’s getting dark later in the evening. Came home with the night job done. The changeover to winter time will take place on October 29, 2023.

This daylight saving time change was installed after the 1973 oil crisis to save energy and persists to this day despite a vote in 2019 to end it.
