#1a scandal No, what is it really, haha … Humans and animals are like that too, a guilt-free guy, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one, one pic.twitter.com/1Gixz1YAhP

So this is how it ends… I have nothing else to protect. I’m too tired.
— Personality Ji Dong Hui
After the episode, viewers expressed their opinions: most online communities saw posts and comments criticizing the screenwriter “give up” about the character of Mr. Ji.
#CrashCourseInRomance WTF, but? Hah… This guy showed no sign of remorse after killing all those animals and people. And that his death is a suicide? In front of Mr. Choi? What joke.

Although viewers acknowledged the fact that Mr. Ji is a fictional character, death by suicide was still considered an inappropriate ending…
- “I am heartbroken that it ended with Mr. Ji dying by suicide. LMAO. I could have gone to fucking prison.”
- “What a waste of the cast’s incredible acting skills.”
- “I can’t believe he jumped without feeling guilty for what he did. Did the screenwriter think that was fair? How come I couldn’t arrest Mr. Ji?
- “What the hell? Wasn’t Mr. Ji one of Mr. Choi’s closest people? How are Mr. Choi supposed to accept the fact that Mr. Ji killed other acquaintances and then committed suicide? How are we supposed to accept a ‘happy ending’ afterwards?
- “When did this romantic comedy become a thriller…?”
- “Giving a murderous character many excuses. I’m disappointed in the screenwriter.”
- “I will look at everything because I am committed. But I won’t lie, it’s gonna be a shitty show. I’m starting to wonder if the author isn’t okay.
- “To let a murderous character go like that… also to be ruthless towards the disabled character. Also spoil the development of some female characters? At this point, I’m not quite sure what the author is trying to tell us. It sucks, I’ve decided to watch this series at all.”
- “Quoi…?”
- “I wonder if the show has a new writer in the middle of the show?”
…because Mr Ji was described as having murdered/attempted to murder several people including Mr Choi’s girlfriend Ms Nam and his daughter Hae E.
- “I started laughing at the scene, not because it was funny but because I thought it was so absurd. HAHAHA. I always thought there must be a turnaround, it can’t happen… until the police covered Mr. Ji with the white piece of cloth. I tried not to hesitate, but the episode hit me.”
- “The worst K-drama of all time, in my opinion.”
- “I’m glad I didn’t look any further. I quit when the screenwriter couldn’t develop Mr. Choi’s relationship or Mr. Ji’s past very well. The storyline felt weak and it seems I was right to quit.”
- “Sigh. I fell in love with this series until… Seems like the author gave up on the plot. Did the writer change mid-series? How, WTF?
- “I still don’t understand why this whole criminal character had to be in a k-drama rom-com.”
- “I thought it was going to be a healing rom-com.”
- “Up until episode 6 it was good. Last night’s episode REALLY let me down.”
- “What a shitty show now, haha. The first was rich reborn Now this. I wonder is it that hard to give a series a solid ending? Tb I thought rich reborn it sucked, but it’s even worse. I don’t care how it ends now.
- “WHAT DO THE POLICE DO? lmao. I think the writer should take a break from the K-dramas and work on fixing his stuff first.
Romance Crash Course I’ve seen big spikes in viewer ratings in previous episodes. Will the numbers hold up after the unexpected plot twists?
