Court upholds 10-month sentence for Himchan (ex BAP)

On April 3, Himchan, a former BAP member, was on trial for sexual assault.

In 2018, a woman accused the idol of assaulting her while they were vacationing with other people.

Himchan was sentenced to 10 months in prison in February 2021. She was also assigned a 40-hour program against sexual violence.

He initially denied the facts and appealed.

in April 2022, Himchan admitted to all sexual assault charges and on February 9, 2023, upon his appeal, the Seoul Central District Court imposed a 10-month prison sentence and 40 hours of sex violence education classes.

After the second appeal in this case, the third trial imposed the same 10 months in prison and 40 hours of sex violence education classes.

On April 30, the third branch of the Supreme Court told the lower court that Himchan’s 10-month prison sentence was upheld on appeal after his charges of violent harassment were reported.

On the other hand, on the 3 It was revealed that an investigation into another sex crime involving Himchan was underway.

This is the third such charge against him.
