BTS Suga debuts on UK charts with new album D-DAY
Suga has done an incredible job on the music charts!

On April 28th local time, Suga has now officially entered the official UK chart which is the US equivalent of the Billboard charts.
The published leaderboards have been covered for the week of April 28th to May 4th. It included Suga’s title track “Haegeum” which reached #77 on the official singles chart.

Aside from the official singles, “Haegeum” also entered multiple charts, including the official download singles chart at #5, the official singles sales chart at #8, and the official video streaming chart at #10.
“D-DAY” as an album also made its mark at number 41 on the official album chart. This is Suga’s second solo entry after his second mixtape “D-2” in May 2020 which claimed #7.

It was precisely this success that led to Suga becoming the first Korean solo act to place multiple releases on the UK OFFICIAL Albums Chart.
Suga’s “D-DAY” also debuted on many other charts, such as the Official Album Downloads Chart and the Official Hip Hop & R&B Albums Chart, both of which peaked at #2. It also charted at number 23 on the Official Album Sales Chart and number 77 on the Official Streaming Albums Chart.

In other news, Suga also made headlines on the Hanteo chart.

On April 21, it was reported that Suga’s “D-DAY” had a first-day circulation of 1,072,311 copies. This feat marks the highest first-day sales achieved by a solo album and marks a new story in Hanteo.
On a separate note, Suga is the second soloist to hit a million-seller on Hanteo on day one, following bandmate Jimin, who previously held the record with debut solo album FACE.

Overall, Suga became the fifth artist to do so, after his group BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN and Stray Kids. After that, from April 21 to 27, “D-DAY” achieved its highest turnover in the first week. During the week the album had sold 1,2777,218 copies.

In particular, this also led to Suga achieving the ninth highest first-week sales after SEVENTEEN, BTS, Stray Kids, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, BLACKPINK and bandmate Jimin.
