BTS’ Jimin reveals why his song is called Set Me Free Part 2 and if it’s related to Suga
Today marks the official release of Jimin of BTS’ pre-release song “Set Me Free Pt”. 2” from his highly anticipated debut solo album “FACE”.
While one can’t help but hum the music, everyone fell in love with the music video for its artistry and choreography.
During an interview for Consequence media, Jimin returned to his feelings about creating this title.
“When this song came about, I felt very connected to it. I myself traveled to the States to record the choir and hearing it right next to them was truly amazing. I remember it as a very good memory. »
However, fans were confused as to why this pre-single was labeled “Pt.2” considering Jimin has no existing songs titled “Set Me Free”.
Not surprisingly, the song’s title and why it’s “Pt. 2” is somehow related to another BTS member, though not directly. It’s none other than his Yoongi Hyung aka Suga from BTS and his mixtape D-2 as Agust D.
Jimin explained that the connection was unintentional, but worth considering.
“There is no connection and we didn’t try to split the first or the second part. But since my song happens to be about freedom and forward movement, and SUGA’s song is about some of the stories before that, I thought it would be good to come after. »
Along with this pre-release song, Jimin will become the first BTS member to release a solo album with “FACE” in 2023. The album is scheduled for release on March 24, 2023 on all platforms.
