BTS’ J-Hope started his military draft

When BTS’ Jin began his mandatory service in December 2022, fans of the group wondered who would become the next member.

On February 26th, BIGHIT Music surprised fans with an announcement on Weverse regarding J-Hope’s mandatory service.

The announcement reads as follows:

C’est BIGIT music.

We would like to inform our fans that J-Hope initiated the military recruitment process by requesting the termination of his enlistment moratorium.

We will inform you about further updates in due course.

We ask for your continued love and support for J-Hope until he completes his military service and returns safely.

On the other hand, the group is on pause to focus on members’ individual activities and for their mandatory departures.

The agency said the group is expected to reconvene in 2025.
