‘British K-pop group’ KAACHI officially disbands – Kpopnews

Just yesterday we posted an update on the whereabouts of the members of the controversial ‘British K-pop group’. KAACHI are now.

KACHI | FrontRow Logs

The self-proclaimed K-pop group debuted in April 2020 under FrontRow Logsproduced by Monica Lee, with the song “Your Turn”. From the beginning of their careers, they were highly controversial due to alleged lack of education, cultural appropriation and other allegations. Since they only had one Korean member, many wondered why they were trying to advertise as a K-pop group.

Although they debuted with four members – Nicholas, Chunseo, Danieletc coconut – Less than a year later, in July 2021, Dani announced his departure from the group. They released a few more singles through October of the same year, and then apparently went on an indefinite hiatus.

In September 2022, it was announced that Coco would also be leaving the group and performing as a solo artist, leaving Nicole and Chunseo as the only remaining members. And since KAACHI hadn’t updated their social media accounts since September 2022, fans were worried about the future of the group.

Nicole and Chunseo | FrontRow Logs

On February 28, their fears were confirmed by their FrontRow Records label, and they released a statement that KAACHI would part ways with Nicole and Chunseo’s decision to leave the company. However, they will appear in a documentary they took part in which will be released in May.

After extensive discussions behind the scenes, we announce that the official contract between the company, Nicole and Chunseo has been terminated. We will be happy to support each other no matter what we do, wherever we are. The documentary, starring Nicole and Chunseo, will be officially released next May. Please look forward to it 🙂 We wish Nicole and Chunseo all the best for the future. Thank you all for all the love and support.

Despite their overall controversial status as a K-pop group, people’s comments on the Instagram post mostly express sadness at their disbanding, as well as positive support for the members in their future endeavours.

And it seems that a project is already in the works. Nicole announced on her personal Instagram that she and Chunseo (reportedly known as Ruth), as well as former KAACHI member Coco, will be collaborating to release music as the indie band ATTI.

Nothing has been posted on ATTI’s Instagram page yet, but it will be interesting to see what the girls have in store for their fans.
