What makes one of the local artists proud, Syaura Qotunadha has been selected as a finalist for the 4th VH Awards. You can also see the works at MACAN Museum on September 10-13 November 2022.

The VH Award itself is a project of Hyundari Motor Group which wants to support new media artists in various contexts. It is being held for the fourth time, but the 4th VH Awards is the first to be held to include artists outside of South Korea.

The work of each of these finalists is presented at the MACAN museum in a multimedia format. The finalists’ projects involve using technology in new ways and building new relationships, with topics ranging from the human relationship with artificial intelligence to the social and environmental problems of our time. This award is based on the Hyundai Motor Group’s commitment to bring to life the integration of art and technology through cross-cultural research and interdisciplinary art expression.

From Indonesia, Syaura Qotrunadha, an artist from Yogyakarta, was chosen, who worked on a project called “Instability of Future Engines”. The project, which takes place in about 12 minutes, describes the past, present, and future of racial anthropology during the Dutch colonial era.
