BLACKPINK’s Jennie has been attacked by Chinese netizens for “inappropriate behavior” in Hong Kong
BLACKPINK’s world concert tour was heavily commented on, receiving both positive and negative reviews depending on the date.
Now the group is in the middle of the Asian leg of their tour and the Hong Kong concert has just taken place with three dates from January 13th to 15th.
It’s just that some internet users seem to be mad at Jennie after these concerts. Some in the Weibo online community say that she didn’t give 100%, but she also showed a dismissive attitude towards Chinese fans.
The topic became the #1 search trend on Weibo with nearly a billion views, and a clip attacking Jennie received over 13 million views and 1.2 million likes.
As a result, many netizens attacked Jennie via her Instagram, criticizing her for her “inappropriate behavior” at Hong Kong concerts.
Also on Twitter, several netizens criticized the idol, adding photos and videos that “proved” their statements.
First of all, I’m not a fan of Jennie and have never verbally abused her. But I’m very angry, please see Jennie’s attitude towards Chinese fans and fans from other countries! I can even understand why the Chinese scold them.#Jennie paddles #Jennie pic.twitter.com/8soRpwYdEA

Jennie MUST sue a blogger with 4million followers on Weibo, he/she started this cyberbullying campaign on her birthday, idk how much he was paid for it but this is so heartless. If this one has an account on Twitter we could easily doxx them but this fad only uses Weibo https://t.co/ZJvKBokZPN

After seeing these attacks on Jennie, many fans came to her defense and asked YG to intervene so that the idol’s reputation would not be tarnished.
#jenny Many Chinese think that Jen didn’t perform seriously at the Hong Kong concert and that she didn’t like China and didn’t respect the Chinese fans. Ironically, none of them went to Hong Kong because they saw fake videos posted by people who hate Jen in DouYin. Look at this picture🙏 pic.twitter.com/y1DhIOCNzV
