BLACKPINK breaks the Guinness World Record and becomes the most-streamed girl group on Spotify
BLACKPINK’s impact on the kpop and global music scene is enormous, and a new achievement has just been added to the already long list of young women.
The hugely popular K-pop girl group became the most-streamed girl group on Spotify on Wednesday (March 8), according to Guinness World Records.
With 8.8 billion streams, BLACKPINK set a new record, beating former title holder Little Mix, according to Guinness World Records.
Some of BLACKPINK’s most popular tracks are “How You Like That” with 746,198,263 streams, “Kill This Love” with 672,084,360 and “DDU-DU DDU-DU” with 574,613,362.
As a group, BLACKPINK still holds several records including for most subscribers by a group on YouTube, as well as being the first K-pop group to reach #1 in the UK Albums Chart (Female) and the first K-pop group to To reach #1 on the US Albums Chart (Women).
On the other hand, the group is the focus of their BORN PINK world tour, which will last until June 2023.
