Beyoncé: Discover the astronomical fee the star was set to receive for a private concert in Dubai
While her fans have been eagerly awaiting her return to the stage since 2018, Beyoncé is expected to perform at a new luxury hotel in Dubai on January 21. The Sun reported that the megastar would be paid a huge fee for the performance.
After more than four years away, Beyoncé is set to make her big comeback on stage in Dubai on January 21, The Sun has announced.
The star, who has not appeared in front of an audience since appearing at the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg four years ago, is set to be part of celebrations planned to mark the opening of luxury hotel The Royal Atlantis.
Beyoncé agreed to take the mic there for an hour for a whopping $24 million, The Sun reported.
Note that tickets for this show, if it does take place, will not be open to the general public as only a handful of handpicked guests should have the opportunity to attend.
According to Arabian Business, Beyoncé’s performance would be included in a series of performances, including those by Robbie Williams and DJs Swedish House Mafia, “also taking place on the same weekend.”
A temple of luxury
14 years ago, the opening of the first Atlantis hotel in Dubai took place in the presence of many celebrities, including Robert DeNiro, Priyanka Chopra and Kylie Minogue.
The Atlantis The Royal Hotel consists of 795 rooms and 102 suites, including 44 suites with private swimming pools, but also an area of 3000 m2 dedicated to fitness, “homes to 90 swimming pools including an infinity pool on the roof of the 22nd floor”. Floor and restaurants run by recognized chefs,” explains Arabian Business.
Prior to its opening, the ultra-luxury resort collaborated with global superstars Tiësto and Tate McRae to create the “10:35” track and music video to celebrate the “essence, energy and electrifying side” of the place.
