ATEEZ’s Wooyoung takes a break from activities after suffering an ankle injury

ATEEZ continue their tour but unfortunately Wooyoung has to take a break.

In fact, it was revealed that the idol suffered an ankle injury that prevents him from performing on stage. Last week, due to his injury, Wooyoung had to perform in a seated position at some of ATEEZ’s encore concerts in Japan.

On May 8, the group’s agency, KQ Entertainment, announced that Wooyoung had to take a break to focus on his treatment and recovery.

It is with deepest regret that we share the news of member Wooyoung’s health condition with the fans who have shown such generous love and care to ATEEZ.

Wooyoung recently suffered an ankle injury and is focused on his recovery. Despite this, due to his strong will to keep his promise to fans, he performed on stage while seated in a chair.

As the pain continued, it was decided that he would need further evaluation and treatment at a medical facility.

After a long discussion with Wooyoung and all other ATEEZ members, the decision was made to suspend Wooyoung’s program for a while so that he could undergo appropriate treatment.

As a result, Wooyoung cannot participate in the following programs: “THE DANCE DAY LIVE 2023” and “KCON 2023 JAPAN”.

We ask for your understanding as this decision has been considered for Wooyoung’s health.
