April Issue of ELLE Korea Featuring BTS’ V Breaks Sales Records With “All-Kill”

Her stunning photoshoot for the April issue of ELLE Korea hit the sales charts and caused luxury brand CELINE’s website to crash.
ELLE Korea recently unveiled Taehyung as the cover star of their April issue by releasing three stunning covers.
The magazine dubbed him “CELINE Boy” who perfectly embodies the brand’s image of modernity and elegance.
The covers were eagerly awaited by fans who had already pre-ordered the magazine with just the blind covers.
Taehyung had also demonstrated his unprecedented brand power by topping the bestseller charts in major Japanese bookstores with just his blind covers.
ELLE Korea’s decision to only release pre-order links with their blind covers demonstrated their confidence in their selling power.
And they were right, because 24 hours after Taehyung’s ELLE Korea cover was unveiled, he achieved an “all-kill” on the sales charts, topping the best-seller lists in nine major bookstores.
In South Korea, Taehyung occupied the top three bestseller spots in the country’s three largest bookstores: Aladin, Yes24 and Kyobo Book.
In Japan, Taehyung leads the top bookstores including Rakuten, Amazon Japan and Qoo10.
The magazine with Taehyung’s cover also ranked #1 bestseller by the world-renowned magazine Ktown4u, where it currently holds the record for the best-selling magazine of all time with its VOGUE Korea covers.
It’s Taehyung’s second hit on the sales charts after his six VOGUE Korea covers for the October 2022 issue became bestsellers for weeks.
His incredible selling power earned him the nickname “King of Magazines” from fans and the media alike.
On the other hand, Taehyung’s ELLE Korea photoshoot was created in collaboration with CELINE men’s Spring 2023 collection. He looked stunning in various outfits that showed his fashion sense and charisma.
His photos sent fans into such a frenzy that they flooded the CELINE website to purchase the clothes he wore. As a result, the site crashed within minutes of the cover being unveiled due to the high volume of traffic.
