7 Moments Jungkook Proved to Fans He’s Not ‘BTS’s Baby’ Anymore
BTS’ Jungkook debuted at just 15 years old, a particularly young age.
He’s also the maknae (youngest member) of the group, and it might be difficult for some not to see him as the “baby of BTS” just yet.
However, time has passed and he is now 25 years old. He can therefore no longer be considered a “baby” and has become a grown man, capable of making his own decisions.
Despite this, some fans are still trying to treat him like a “baby,” and he clearly seems fed up… Here are 7 moments Jungkook made it clear that he’s a free-choice adult.
- “I’m not your grandpa!” »
Despite his young age, some older fans nicknamed him “oppa”, a term usually used by women for older men. He clearly didn’t like it and even made the joke of checking IDs.
- When he rejected calls from sasaengs
A full live broadcast in 2019 saw Jungkook receive a sasaeng fan call. Then he explained:
“This is a call from a fan. It says ‘You’re doing a VLIVE and I just called to check’.” What I do is I blocked the call immediately. In fact, I get a lot of calls from Saesang fans. »
- When fans have sold out their favorite drink
According to tea company TEAZEN, sales of their kombucha increased by 1800% after Jungkook mentioned it on his live show. He jokingly expressed his frustration at not being able to find his favorite lemon flavor because of the fans.
- Again against the sasaeng
Jungkook did a live stream ahead of the 2022 GRAMMYs, but he kept getting calls from his hotel room.
“You watch VLIVE, don’t you? Who are you? Not. I don’t like the ringing of phone calls. I’m drunk and it’s scary. I have the chills. »
- He’s not a baby!
After a live performance in 2022, he realized he had been tanning a lot. After complaining to fans for not telling him, he asked her for a sunscreen recommendation.
An ARMY then suggested the Maknae use sunscreen on the babies. So he replied: “Um, I’m not a baby!!! »
- When he asked fans not to follow him to the gym
In a recent live stream on Weverse, the maknae thanked fans for their attention but asked not to follow him during his private lessons, adding that he had seen fans following him to the gym.
- When fans told her not to drink alcohol
Jungkook was recently in the middle of a live broadcast when fans told him to stop drinking alcohol. He then replied:
“Ah, why are you telling me to stop drinking?” I am an adult and I am 27 years old (Korean age). I enjoy it while I’m still young. You only live once. If I was born again like… If I was guaranteed a second life, I wouldn’t do it. »
