6 UP10TION members (including Lee Jin Hyuk) leave TOP Media Soompi

6 members of UP10TION leave their agency.

On February 28, TOP Media announced the departure of 5 group members for the first time, stating:

” Good morning. It’s TOPMedia.

We sincerely say thank you to the fans who love UP10TION.

The exclusive contracts of UP10TION members Kuhn, Kogyeol, Bitto, Sunyoul and Gyujin, who have been with the agency since their debut in September 2015, expire on March 11th.

The agency has been in careful discussion with the members over a long period of time and we have mutually agreed to terminate their contracts when the exclusivity contracts expire.

However, all members have a deep affection for UP10TION, so UP10TION will remain with the current seven members. We have agreed to support UP10TION’s activities should they promote UP10TION in the future.

We express our sincere gratitude to the members with whom we have matured over a long period of time and will encourage them to continue to perform as great artists in the future.

Thanks again to the fans who have wholeheartedly supported Kuhn, Kogyeol, Bitto, Sunyoul and Gyujin so far. »

Shortly thereafter, the agency released a second statement announcing that Lee Jin Hyuk would also be leaving the agency.

The company said:

We inform you that our exclusive contract with Lee Jin Hyuk, who has been working with us for a long time, will expire on March 11th.

After long discussions with Lee Jin Hyuk, we mutually agreed to terminate our contract after the tentative exclusive contract expired.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Lee Jin Hyuk who, whatever his title, has worked earnestly and shone without change, from trainee Lee Sung Joon to UP10TION’s Wei and solo artist Lee Jin Hyuk. We will support him so that he can continue to work as a great artist and actor in the future.
